Inspecting for Bed Bugs

Our customers often begin by calling in or using our easy form to request a free bed bug inspection. In some instances, the inspection is just a formality if you are already aware you have a bed bug issue. For other customers, the inspection is used to ID the common evidence from a new or worsening bed bug problem.  Either way, the free inspection is a tool we use to gauge the severity of your bed bug problem, and ultimately to gain your trust and educate you to prepare for a successful treatment.

What Does the Free Bed Bug Inspection Cover?

The free inspection is used to ID evidence or to find living bed bugs throughout your home. We do not charge for it, but some other businesses do require a deposit that would then be put towards your treatment cost if you move forward. We offer free inspections because it has proved to be incredibly valuable to our customers, and allows us to accurately evaluate your unique situation.

Here is what we look for during our free bed bug inspection:

  • Live bed bugs (All stages of the bed bug life cycle)
  • Bed bug skins
  • Evidence of dead bed bugs
  • Bed bug eggs
  • Bed bug feces

Based on what we find during the inspection, we are able to have you prepare for your treatment and ultimately, get rid of the bed bugs in your home!

What Happens If You Don’t Find Bed Bugs

In some cases, our free inspection yields no “results”. If we do not find bed bugs and honestly feel that you do not have a bed bug problem, we tell you! However, we have had instances where we are brought in to find bugs and do locate evidence that other companies have missed. It’s important to remember that bed bugs are all that we do, and we are very experienced in finding all of the signs, even if they are minimal.

Having a single bed bug in your home can produce evidence, including bed bug bites. It is highly recommended to call for a free inspection the moment you think you have an issue, rather than waiting for additional evidence to present as the bed bug population grows.

What to Expect After Your Free Bed Bug Inspection

If we find signs of bed bugs, we will recommend a treatment plan to eradicate the problem. This may be a chemical treatment regimen, or may involve our heat treat systems depending on the severity of the infestation. We offer our free inspections and our treatments 7 days a week, and offer very flexible scheduling to ensure you can properly prepare for it, and have the best chances at a successful treatment.

Once you have decided to move forward with treatment, we review all necessary preparation tasks and walk you through the entire process. We are available for questions and phone support, and provide all of the information needed to have a successful treatment!
